Before you pre-order tickets, a dose of reality. As of December 2024, TMS Entertainment and MAPPA have not issued a single press release using the phrase "BTX Movie 2025." Every "leak" comes from secondary sources.
However, the silence is telling. MAPPA famously did not announce Chainsaw Man: The Movie until six months after the TV season ended. Given the teaser shown to investors, an official announcement is expected at Jump Festa 2025 (December 21-22, 2024).
If nothing is announced by January 15, 2025, the BTX Movie 2025 will likely go down as the greatest anime hoax of the decade, comparable to the "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" rumors.
The Themes
1. The Sanitization of Humanity

The "BTX Killer" is never seen directly, only through the terrified heart rates of victims and the static of corrupted feeds. 3. The 2025 Aesthetic
The film captures a very specific, looming anxiety about 2025. It’s not flying cars and lasers; it’s aggressive minimalism, silent cities, and the hum of servers. It’s a world where "smart cities" have become prisons of comfort. The color palette is sterile white and bruised purple—the color of a healing wound that never truly closes.
