The 2.2 version brought several stability improvements and refined customization options that make it superior to older builds. 1. Customizable Highlight Styles

You can toggle between a standard color highlight, a "picture" mode where you use your own icon, or a "focus" mode that acts like a spotlight on a dark stage. 2. Click Visualizations

One of the best features for tutorial makers is the click effect. When you click, a ring expands from the cursor, showing your audience exactly when an action was taken. You can set unique colors for: Left-clicks (e.g., Red) Right-clicks (e.g., Blue) 3. Hotkey Toggling

Getting the tool running takes less than two minutes. Follow these steps to ensure a clean setup: Step 1: Install AutoHotkey

Since Cursor Highlighter is an .ahk script, you first need the engine that runs it. Visit the official AutoHotkey website. Download and install the "Current Version." Step 2: Download the Cursor Highlighter 2.2 Script

A small blue "H" icon will appear in your system tray (bottom right of your taskbar).

Right-click that icon and select Settings to change colors, sizes, and opacity. Best Practices for Presenters

To make the most of your new download, keep these tips in mind:

Contrast is King: If you are presenting a dark-themed app (like a code editor), use a bright yellow or neon green highlight.

Don't Overdo Size: A massive highlight can actually obscure the text you are trying to show. Keep the radius between 20 and 40 pixels.

Use the Spotlight for Emphasis: If you need the audience to look at one specific button, switch to "Focus Mode" to black out distractions.

💡 Pro Tip: Save your settings profile once you find a look you like, so you don't have to reconfigure it before every meeting.
