Recommended devices for ROMs:
- Nokia N95 (RM-84 or RM-159) – Best compatibility, supports OpenGL ES.
- Nokia E71 (RM-346) – Best for keyboard-based app debugging.
- Nokia N86 (RM-484) – Improved graphics driver emulation.

2.1 Why S60v3 is Special
- First real-time Symbian OS (EKA2 kernel).
- Platform Security – introduced capabilities/data caging, which EKA2L1 partially enforces.
- Supported devices: Nokia N95, N73, E71, E90, 6120 Classic, etc.
Issue 3: Keyboard mapping doesn’t work for E71 ROM
- Fix: Go to
Settings > Input. For qwerty devices, enable "Hardware Keyboard Overlay." Map PC keys (e.g., Q → Q, Space → Space).
Installation Methods:
Method 1: Drag and drop (Easiest)
- Simply drag a
.sisor.sisxfile into the emulator window. EKA2L1 will install it automatically.
Method 2: Using the virtual memory card
- Copy
.sisfiles to the virtual.imgcard using theTools > Mount storageoption. - On the emulated phone, open the File Manager → E: drive → browse and click the file.
