Part 6: Final Check – Is Your Camera Working?

If you see video, you are done. Do not install random driver EXE files – the generic driver is all you need for 99% of E-20MP webcams.
Chapter 4: Verifying the Driver Installation
After installation, confirm success with these checks: enter e-20mp webcam driver
- Device Manager → Imaging devices → “Enter E-20MP Webcam” (no yellow exclamation mark).
- Camera app → Windows Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Cameras → Check that resolution options include 3840x2160.
- Third-party software – Open OBS Studio, Zoom, or Teams. Select “Enter E-20MP” as the source.
Green light indicator: If the LED around the lens lights up only when accessed, the driver is loaded correctly.
Method B: Manual via Device Manager (For .inf files)
- Unzip the driver folder to your Desktop.
- Open Device Manager.
- Look for the Enter E-20MP device (it may show as "Unknown device" with a yellow exclamation mark).
- Right-click and select Update driver.
- Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
- Click Browse and navigate to the unzipped folder.
- Check Include subfolders and click Next.
- Windows will install the driver. Click Close.
5.2 Error Code 39 – “Driver corrupted or missing”
Cause: Windows driver integrity check failure.

- Open Registry Editor (
regedit).
- Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318
- Delete the
UpperFilters and LowerFilters values (back up first).
- Reboot and reinstall the driver.
3.4 Linux (Ubuntu/Debian)
The Enter E-20MP uses the standard UVC driver. To enable 20MP still capture:

sudo apt install v4l-utils cheese
v4l2-ctl --list-formats-ext

Accessing the Driver Control Panel
Many Enter E-20MP drivers install a proprietary control panel. Look for: If you see video, you are done
- A desktop shortcut named "Camera Settings" or "USB Camera."
- Alternatively, in Device Manager > Properties > Driver Settings.
Here you can adjust:
- Frequency (50hz vs 60hz): Set to 60hz for the US (prevents flickering under fluorescent lights).
- Exposure: Lower the exposure (-2 or -3) to reduce motion blur.
- Contrast: Increase to 75% for sharper text on whiteboards.
