-
Network Connectivity Issues: Problems connecting to the ESET update servers or issues with your internet connection can prevent ESET from verifying your license.

After syncing, restart your computer and manually trigger an ESET update.

Use ESET’s Uninstaller Tool (For Stubborn Cases)
ESET provides a dedicated removal tool for completely erasing leftover files.
- Download the ESET Uninstaller Tool from the official ESET knowledgebase.
- Run Windows in Safe Mode.
- Execute the tool and follow instructions.
- Reboot normally and reinstall ESET fresh.
8. ESET’s Server-Side Issues (Rare)
Occasionally, ESET’s own activation servers experience downtime. Checking ESET’s status page can rule this out.
Solution 3: Correct Your System Date and Time
This step is overlooked far too often.
- Windows: Right-click the system clock → Adjust date/time → Set “Set time automatically” to ON. Also set time zone correctly.
- macOS: System Preferences → Date & Time → Unlock and enable “Set date and time automatically.”
After fixing, reboot and attempt the update again.
