Everstart Battery Charger 60108m Manual
EverStart Battery Charger 60108M — Complete Guide & Manual Overview
Step-by-Step: How to Use the EverStart 60108M
1.3. Connecting to the Battery – The Right Order
The manual specifies a strict sequence to avoid sparks at the battery terminal:
- Positive (RED) clamp to the positive + terminal.
- Negative (BLACK) clamp to the negative - terminal on a vehicle chassis (not the battery post) for negative-ground vehicles. For a battery out of the vehicle, connect to the negative post.
- Reverse for positive-ground vehicles (rare in modern cars).
Maintenance/float mode
- When Charged indicator appears, charger usually reduces to a low-voltage float to maintain battery. This allows long-term connection without overcharging.
- If manual disconnect required, unplug AC, then remove clamps (negative first).
