The grand hall shattered like porcelain. The mirrors fell away, revealing the cavern once more. The Shadow Walker roared in frustration, his form towering and monstrous, made of swirling smoke and black fire.
"You have passed the test of spirit," the monster bellowed. "Now face the test of might!"
The creature lashed out with tendrils of smoke. Hatim dodged, rolling across the stone floor. His sword passed harmlessly through the creature's smoky body.
