The Wait is Almost Over...

"Hera Pheri - 2024 - SolTalkies Original" is just around the corner. Get ready to experience the ultimate comedy series of the year!

No legitimate film titled "Hera Pheri (2024) SolTalkies Original" exists, as the official franchise is produced by A.G. Films. SolTalkies often uses modified titles of famous films for clickbait, and the authentic comedy franchise is available through official streaming services, such as Prime Video. Watch the original Hera Pheri (2000) on Amazon Prime Video.

The Visual Style: Retro meets 4K

SolTalkies is known for its visual fidelity. The Hera Pheri -2024- SolTalkies Original is being shot with a unique "Retro VHS" filter combined with modern Dolby Vision. The idea is to preserve the color grading of the 2000 film—the earthy yellows and gritty greens of the old house—while offering the crispness of 2024 technology.

The production design brings back the iconic, cluttered living room, but this time with an Amazon Alexa device sitting awkwardly next to Babu Bhaiya’s ancient rotary phone. The contrast between the old set design and new technology is expected to drive the visual comedy.

Comparing to Other SolTalkies Originals

SolTalkies previously made waves with the Hera Pheri adjacent universe in 2022 with "Hungama Reloaded," but critics noted the lack of the original magic. For 2024, the platform has reportedly invested triple the budget.

Early test screening reviews (leaked on Twitter) claim: "Hera Pheri -2024- SolTalkies Original is not a remake. It is a ritual. You laugh not because the jokes are new, but because they feel like old friends joking with you."

Plot Summary (Act by Act)

Act 1: The Rusty Ring Babu Rao is evicting Chintu for not paying rent. Raju is trying to sell a dead parrot to a tourist. Shyam is watching a self-help video on "How to say no." The old, dusty telephone in Babu Rao’s hall (the same one from 2000) suddenly rings. No one answers. It rings again. Chintu, high on energy drinks, picks it up and puts it on speaker. A frantic voice says: "The diamond shipment lands at Dubai Marina at midnight. Half the map is in the locker. The other half is with the tailor." Click. The trio stares. Chintu records the call on his phone.

Act 2: The Accidental Plan Raju wants to sell the information to the police. Shyam wants to ignore it ("I have acidity, Raju!"). Babu Rao decides they will go to Dubai. Not for the diamonds, but to claim a "free timeshare" he was promised in 1998. They land in Dubai with zero passports (Babu Rao forged them using a laminator and a library card). Chaos ensues as they mistake a gold souk for the heist location, break into a sheikh's camel farm, and accidentally befriend a Russian hacker named Olga who thinks they are Interpol.

Act 3: The Double Cross Meera tracks Raju via his ancient Nokia. She discovers the "heist" is actually a honey trap set by Don Jimmy to catch a rival gang. The trio is walking into a massacre. The climax takes place in an under-construction luxury mall shaped like a falcon. The trio, armed with a floor buffer machine, a bag of stolen dates, and Babu Rao’s legendary monologue, trigger a chain reaction that floods the mall’s ice rink, traps Don Jimmy in a revolving door, and sends the diamonds flying into a garbage chute.

Final Scene: Back in Mumbai. No diamonds. No money. Just a half-burnt bag of dates and a parking ticket for 40,000 rupees. The phone rings again. Shyam picks it up. A woman's voice says: "I am looking for Mr. Babu Rao. Your ancestral land in Bihar has 17 oil wells." Babu Rao snatches the phone. Cut to black. Laughter track swells. End credits roll over outtakes of Paresh Rawal cursing in Bhojpuri.

The Verdict

Hera Pheri - 2024 is not trying to reinvent the wheel. It is trying to grease the same squeaky wheel we fell in love with years ago. For a fanbase that has been waiting for a worthy successor, this SolTalkies release feels like a warm blanket on a cold night. It is loud, it is chaotic, and it is undeniably funny.

As Babu Bhaiya would say, “Risk hai, toh ishq hai.” And for the audience, the risk of tuning in pays off in pure, unadulterated nostalgia.

Logline

Twenty years after the crooked scam of a lifetime, Raju, Shyam, and Babu Rao are forced out of their miserable retirement when a missing, dust-covered telephone rings again—and the voice on the other end accidentally reveals the location of a 500-crore heist about to happen in Dubai.
