Q5: The APK keeps asking for updates – is that safe?

Only update via the HiCar app’s internal updater (which redirects to Huawei’s server) or APKMirror. Never click “Update” from pop-ups on third-party websites.

  1. Install HMS Core and HiCar APK.
  2. Grant all permissions (Location, Storage, Bluetooth).
  3. Go to Settings → Connection & sharing → HiCar (might appear hidden; search using “HiCar” in settings search bar).
  4. If missing, use an activity launcher app (e.g., “Activity Launcher”) to find com.huawei.hicardrive.MainActivity.
