Kechaoda A26 Flash File Repack ((free)) -

Disclaimer: The following report is for educational and technical repair purposes only. Tampering with device firmware carries the risk of permanently bricking the device (rendering it unusable). Additionally, modifying and redistribiting proprietary software may violate copyright laws.

Recommendations Before Using

  1. Scan all files with VirusTotal or Kaspersky — especially .bin, .img, and any .exe installers.
  2. Extract and compare the partition table (scatter) with a known working device if possible.
  3. Do not use included flashing tools if they are unknown .exe files — use official SP Flash Tool (MTK) or Spreadtrum Upgrade Tool.
  4. Back up current firmware via ReadBack in SP Flash Tool before flashing anything.
  5. Flash without preloader first (untick PRELOADER in SP Flash Tool) to avoid a hard brick.

Phase 3: Modification (Repacking Logic)

This is the core "repack" step.

Scenario A: Changing the Boot Logo

  1. Use an MTK Logo unpacker tool on the extracted logo.bin.
  2. This will decompress the file into raw images.
  3. Replace the target image with your custom image (ensure resolution matches the A26 screen exactly).
  4. Use the tool to Repack the images back into a new logo.bin.

Scenario B: Fixing "Dead Boot"

  1. If the phone is dead, the PRELOADER or UBOOT partitions may be corrupt.
  2. You typically cannot "repack" a broken preloader from scratch. You must find a clean version of this file from a working backup or a trusted source.
  3. In the Scatter file, point the Preloader path to the new/clean file.

Step 1: Driver Installation

Disable Windows Driver Signature Enforcement (Shift + Restart -> Advanced Startup -> Disable Driver Signing). Install the MTK USB drivers included in the repack folder.

2. The Boot Loop

The Kechaoda logo appears, disappears, and reappears forever. Android Recovery (Volume Up + Power) is inaccessible.
