In the high-stakes world of Payday 2, trust is the most valuable currency—more valuable than the loot in the White House vault. Nothing sours a heist faster than seeing that dreaded bright red "CHEATER" tag floating above a teammate’s head (or your own).
If you are reading this, you are likely experiencing one of two things: You either saw the "Cheater" label next to someone’s name and got confused, or—more likely—you loaded into a lobby and realized that you are the one wearing the scarlet letter.

Even if you finish the heist, if you had a cheater tag at any point, the post-heist loot screen will display a red warning message. Crucially: You will receive $0 spending cash, $0 offshore, and 0 XP for that heist. Your time will have been completely wasted.
