Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (PES 2010) is widely considered one of the classics of the franchise. While the gameplay stands the test of time, the default scoreboards and overlays can feel dated. Fortunately, PES 2010 has a robust modding community, and changing the scoreboard is one of the most popular modifications.

Part 9: Creating Your Own PES 2010 Scoreboard

You’ll need:

Photoshop or GIMP
GGS (Game Graphic Studio)
A hex editor (HxD)

Steps:

Extract the default unnamed_35.bin using GGS.
Open the embedded texture (usually a 512x128 or 1024x256 PNG). You’ll see Konami’s design.
Design your own layout over it. Keep the transparency channels (alpha layers) for the glass effects.
Re-import your new texture into the .bin file.
Test in-game. Adjust positions using hex editing (look for coordinates like 00 00 80 3F which represent floating-point screen positions).

It sounds daunting, but many beginners started exactly this way. The PES 2010 scoreboard community was one of the most welcoming in modding history.
