Common Errors and Troubleshooting

Even with Phison Mpall V5.03.0a-dl07, you may encounter errors. Here’s how to fix them:

| Error Code | Message | Solution | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | 0x01 | Device not found | Reconnect the drive; disable USB selective suspend; use a USB 2.0 hub. | | 0x07 | Write error / Bad block | The NAND has too many bad blocks. Try a different firmware file or a lower capacity setting (e.g., convert 64GB to 32GB mode). | | 0x12 | Firmware mismatch | You loaded the wrong .BIN file. Re-identify your controller using ChipGenius. | | 0x28 | Load firmware error | The firmware file is corrupted. Re-extract the entire MPALL archive. | | 0x31 | Preformat failed | The drive may be physically dying. Try a different USB port, or run the "Erase All" option in the Test tab before flashing. | | 0x78 | Format failed | Re-run the process, but in the Partition tab, set "Format" to "No Format", then after the flash completes, use Windows Disk Management to format. | Phison Mpall V5.03.0a-dl07
