Qradar+iso+installation+free __hot__ -
Important Note: IBM QRadar (Community Edition) is no longer officially available for free download as an ISO in the same way it was 5+ years ago. IBM shifted focus to QRadar on Cloud and licensed appliances. However, if you are looking to set up a free, on-premise ISO installation for lab/testing, the following guide applies to the legacy QRadar Community Edition (which supports up to 50 EPS).
Step C: Post-Installation Configuration
- After rebooting, you will see a console login prompt.
- Log in as
root with the password you created.
- QRadar services will start automatically. You can check the status by typing:
systemctl status hostcontext
- It may take 10–15 minutes for all services to initialize on the first boot.
4. Post-Installation Configuration
First-Time Wizard (Mandatory)
- License Activation – Upload CE license (auto-detected)
- Network Hierarchy – Define internal networks (e.g.,
192.168.0.0/24)
- System Settings – Email server, hostname, timezone
- Auto-discovery – Scan for log sources (optional)
Required Download
- ISO File Name:
QRadar_Community_Edition_<version>.iso
- Download Source: IBM Developer (free IBMid registration required)
10. Final Checklist After ISO Installation
