Cardan slid him a bottle of Cossacks. Degtyarev raised it to his lips—and the glass shattered in his grip. The liquid evaporated. His health bar didn't move. Couldn't move. He was locked at 100. Always.

The other stalkers noticed. "What are you?" asked Zulu, stepping back. Degtyarev's eyes had gone flat, like a screen displaying the same desktop wallpaper for ten thousand hours. He no longer ate. Step 1: Enabling the Developer Console

Unlike many modern games, CoP does not have the console enabled by default. To activate it:

  1. Navigate to the game’s root installation folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stalker Call of Pripyat).
  2. Locate the fsgame.ltx file and open it with a text editor (e.g., Notepad).
  3. Find the line: 
    $app_data_root$ = true|false| C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat\
    (The exact path may vary by OS.)
  4. Change the false to true after the first pipe (|) symbol so it reads: 
    $app_data_root$ = true|true| C:\Documents...
  5. Save the file and close it.

Now, in-game, press the ~ (tilde) key to open the console.
