The good news arrived when the developers of SynthAge announced that they had addressed and resolved the download issues associated with version 13. A patch was released to fix the bugs affecting the download and installation process. This patch not only rectifies the issues with downloading and installing the game but also includes several under-the-hood fixes to improve overall stability and performance.

2.1 Installer Stabilization

• Old problem: Installer crashed at 87% looking for a non-existent python39.dll.
• Fixed: The Phoenix Build uses a static linker. All dependencies are embedded. No external runtimes required. Works on Windows 10/11 fresh installs.

Step 1: Disable Real-Time Antivirus (Temporarily)

Because the “fixed” version modifies how the plugin interacts with system timers (to bypass the dead DRM), some antivirus software flags it as a “hacktool.” This is a false positive.

• Windows Defender: Go to Virus & threat protection -> Manage settings -> Turn off Real-time protection (re-enable after installation).
