Step 2: The Setup Wizard
The installation wizard will guide you through the standard EULA (End User License Agreement) and destination folder. It is generally recommended to keep the default file paths. Changing these paths can sometimes complicate future support sessions.
Electrode Calibration
Every new sensor has a unique sensitivity. Go to Calibrate > Electrode Calibration. Follow the on-screen instructions (usually applying a known pressure or no pressure). Do not skip this step, or your data will be arbitrary numbers rather than PSI or mmHg. tekscan software install download

- I-Scan™: For tactile pressure distribution between two mating surfaces (e.g., gaskets, wiper blades, nip rollers).
- Teekscan™ (often confused with the company name): Typically refers to the Conformat Research System for ergonomics and seating pressure.
- F-Scan™: Specifically for in-shoe foot pressure measurement.
- V-Scan™: Used for dental occlusion (bite pressure).
- HRV (Heart Rate Variability) & BPMS (Blood Pressure Measurement System): Specialized medical research tools.
- MATScan™: For gait and balance analysis.
Crucial Note: You cannot download a "universal" Tekscan driver. The software must match the Handle (data acquisition module) you own. If you have an F-Scan handle, installing I-Scan will not work.
Troubleshooting (common issues)
- Device not detected: check USB cable/port, install latest drivers, try different USB port, verify power to devices.
- License not found: confirm dongle is attached, reinstall license drivers (e.g., Sentinel/USB license drivers), re-enter license key.
- Installer blocked: right-click → Run as administrator; temporarily disable antivirus; check for company IT policies preventing installs.
- Older sensor compatibility: use the software version recommended for your sensor; newer releases may drop legacy support.
