Step 4: Install VMware Tools

Go to VM menu → Install VMware Tools.
Critical: Choose "Typical install" but uncheck "Hyper-V enlightenments" if available.
Reboot the VM.

Important Notes on Activation

WinOLS 4.7 requires a license file (winols.lic) or a dongle connection to function.

Dongle Users: Ensure the dongle drivers are installed inside the VM, not the host.
License File Users: Place the license file in the installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\EVC\WinOLS). If you are restoring a backup image of an older VM to run 4.7, ensure the license is updated, as V4.7 may not accept older license formats.
