Right-click any Zyxel shape and select "Shape Data" (or "Custom Properties" in older versions). You can pre-fill:

• Asset Tag: e.g., FW-CORE-01
• Firmware Version: 6.10 Patch 5
• IP Address: 192.168.1.1
• Nebula Site: NYC_Office

Best practices

• Standardize on a palette of 10–15 shapes for common deployments to avoid clutter.
• Create a diagram legend keyed to Zyxel model numbers and firmware where relevant.
• Embed essential device metadata (management IP, role, VLANs, serial) in shape data rather than in free text.
• Use layers for different concerns (physical, logical/VLANs, services) so you can toggle visibility.
• Keep separate diagrams for: physical layout, logical VLAN/routing, wireless coverage maps.
• Version diagrams and include change notes (date, author, summary) in document properties.
